  5.   What is Shareware???

  7.    Shareware is software that you can get for free, like Small Menu, and
  8.   for a small charge set by the author you can get a Registered version, or
  9.   something like that. The author of the program might give you printed 
  10.   manuals, updates, new features, more programs, or something like that if
  11.   you register. Remember though, the author probably put many hours into
  12.   his/her program and even though they may not be doing this for a living
  13.   you should register the program to give them a little incentive to show
  14.   them that people do like their software.

  17.   What is Small Menu???

  19.    Small Menu v1.0 is a menu program that will make it eaiser for you to
  20.   get into your programs. Let's say you have a program that in 3 sub-
  21.   directories under the root directory and you hate having to type
  22.   CD dir1, CD dir2, CD dir3 to get there and then type the name of the file.
  23.   Well with Small Menu you can just enter the where abouts of your program
  24.   just once and then you can just push one key and bam, you program is
  25.   running.

  27.   Creating a new data file
  28.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  29.    There are a few different ways to edit the options of the program. First
  30.   you can delete the file SMALLMNU.DAT and create a new one when you run the
  31.   program. Second you can go in to Small Menu and pick the option to the
  32.   options editor. Third you can use a editor and load SMALLMNU.DAT into the
  33.   editor and edit it from there.

  35.     The Deleting Way:

  37.            1) Delete the SMALLMNU.DAT file.
  38.            2) Run the SMALLMNU.EXE file.
  39.            3) Enter your options. The first four questions ask for what you
  40.               want to come up on the menu for your menu options. The next 
  41.               four ask four the path, and the name plus the extention of the
  42.               programs.
  43.            4) Type SMALLMNU.EXE to run the program and do what you want.

  45.     Editing in Small Menu:

  47.            1) Run SMALLMNU.EXE file. 
  48.            2) Select the option editor and follow step 3 in the deleting way.

  50.     Editor way:

  52.            1) Edit the file SMALLMNU.DAT.
  53.            2) The 1,3,5,7 lines are what shows up on the menu.
  54.            3) The 2,4,6,8 lines are the path and name plus extention of the file.
  55.            4) Save your changes if you want them and then run SMALLMNU.EXE.
